Equus Live 2013 reveals shortlist for debut Innovation Award
Thursday 17th October, 2013: Equus Live 2013, the inaugural spectacular indoor equine event, has today announced the shortlist for the Equus Live Innovation Award. Sponsored by Enterprise Ireland, a total of seven innovative products have been selected to display their products at the upcoming indoor event.
Taking place in The Event Centre, in Punchestown Racecourse, Co. Kildare on the 2nd and 3rd of November, Equus Live is the first event of its kind showcasing all the Irish equestrian world has to offer.
The Equus Live Innovation Award seeks to establish the most innovative product on the equine Irish and UK market. Entries were received from across Ireland and UK and the following products have been shortlisted to be displayed at Equus Live 2013;
- Multi-Purpose Saddle Trolley; Rolltack Ltd
- A threadless stud system; Pro-Fit Studs
- Social network for Horse Racing; Gallops Live
- Broadland Boot- Riding boot for the larger calf with side zip; Tuffa Boots
- Equine Hay Feed System; Harmony Equine Feeder
- Feed storage bunker and dispenser; The Smart Bunker
- Dressage Close Contact Saddle; Berney Brossaddles
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to see the shortlisted products in their infancy as each battle it out to scoop the Innovation Award and a bursary fund of €1600. The winner of the Equus Live Innovation Award will also reap the benefits of one to one business mentoring covering the key areas of legal, design, and public relations.
The displayed items will be put under scrutiny by the most creative brains in Irish business, a selected panel of Equus Live judges including Brian Purcell (judge on TV’s The Apprentice), serial entrepreneur and Dragon Gavin Duffy and Senator Mary Ann O’ Brien.
Amongst the products shortlisted are; Gallops Live, a website and social network for horse racing launched in April this year which has created a community uniting all equine involvement and interest. Also on the shortlist is the stylish Broadland Boot, a riding boot with a with side zip specifically designed with the wider leg in mind and a top quality dressage handmade saddle crafted by Berney Brossaddles.
